Visa Signature is a valuable program itself, but it shouldn’t be a single reason to apply for a credit card. In this short review we picked best credit cards with Visa Signature program classified in categories by the features where they shine.

Best for travel

Chase Sapphire Preferred® credit card

One of the best travel credit cards overall and the best travel Visa Signature credit card in particular. This card combines perks and benefits of Visa Signature with great rewards for travel purchases, huge signup bonus, and redemption rate boost when you redeem reward points on travel.

  • Large signup bonus – 50,000 reward points after you spend $4,000 in first 3 months. Additional 5,000 reward points bonus if you add an authorized user to your account,
  • Nice rewards for dining out and travel purchases,
  • No foreign transaction fee,
  • Access to travel rewards maximization strategy if combined with Chase Freedom® credit card.
  • $95 annual fee waived for the first year.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® credit card grants you 2 reward points per each $1 spent on travel and dining out. Moreover, you get 1 reward point per each $1 spent on all other purchases. In addition, a 50,000 points signup bonus will be transferred to your card if you spend $4,000 on this card within first 3 months.

If you redeem points from this card on travel purchases, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® credit card grants you additional 25% to the redemption rate, i.e. for each points you get 1.25 cent. Thus, if you, for example, redeem your signup bonus on travel, you’ll get an equivalent of $625 instead of $500 if you redeem points on other purchases.

In general, we recommend to combine the Chase Sapphire Preferred® credit card with the Chase Freedom® card. These cards if used in combination allow you to maximize your travel due to possibility of rewards transfer from one card to another.
